This is great! Although I’m on the wall on this one. We’re teaching our kids to rely too much on the computer and making them forget basic things like writing. My 5-year old niece hates writing. She prefers to use a mouse and dabble with the computer. That’s progress, sort of…

I guess, like everything else in life, it’s about finding the right balance. Writing in my kindergarten has become a highly productive, successful, and generally fun activity. The children bring extra books home to work on and pull out their folders of work in their spare time. You might be interested in the following posts about writing as we do it.
