We had a fabulous opportunity this week to collaborate on a recent project conducted by some kindergarten students in the Greater Boston area. They have been following the journey of a mariner on a sailboat far away from here. One of the mariner’s adventures brought an albatross onto the deck of his boat. So the Boston class learned everything they could about the bird, worked with the KidPix software, and created some drawings. Their technology teacher, Lorraine Leo, created a VoiceThread presentation with them. Since our own work has drawn some attention in the Ed. Tech. world, we were asked if we would like to collaborate on the Voice Thread by adding comments. It couldn’t have been easier. We followed some of the links the teacher provided so that we had some background knowledge. We saw the birds in flight and caring for their young. The VoiceThread created by the other students taught us even more. As we viewed the program, we added our own comments and observations. Ms Leo has given permission to share the full presentation with you so without further ado…!
